5. Mark Twain the Fortune Teller

Legendary American writer Mark Twain was born in the months following the 1835 appearance of Haley’s Comet. The author was famed for saying that he would likely die when the comet came around once more. Lo and behold, one day after the comet appeared at it’s brightest during its 1910 appearance, Twain succumbed to a heart attack.
