2. Going Out With a Bang
Daniel du Toit was a world famous South African astronomer in 1981, having discovered a string of comets. In September of that year, du Toit was closing a lecture at Harvard with the conclusion that death can strike any person at any time, for no apparent reason. As he sat down to applause, he popped a peppermint in his mouth — and promptly choked to death. See, he was right.
