20. Old Western Burial Ground – Maryland

Opened in 1787, Old Western Burial Ground is the final resting place for writer Edgar Allan Poe who died in 1849. It was built right next to a church called Westminster Hall, and both are said to be haunted. Some have witnessed a figure that looks a lot like the writer, wandering around the plots and lamenting about his untimely death.
