15. Chestnut Hill Cemetery – Rhode Island

A tuberculosis outbreak wreaked havoc on the city of Exeter, Rhode Island, claiming the lives of Mercy Brown and her family members. Mercy passed away at the age of 19, and when her body was exhumed two months following her death, her heart was reportedly still fresh! The heart was burned, and the ashes were used in a brew to help heal her ill brother, but sadly, he passed away as well. As news spread throughout the city, many started to believe that perhaps Mercy was a vampire and she was the one who was responsible for spreading the deadly virus. Locals have since claimed to have seen her rise from her grave and drinking blood.
