The Battery Carriage House Inn in Charleston, South Carolina has both a private home and a bed and breakfast on site. The home has been around since the mid 19th century, and at one point pirates were hung there – which might explain some of the paranormal activity. One of the ghosts seem to like startling people by moving chairs around. One room has a ghost that mostly just appears to women, and another room has inexpiable things occur with the appliances, plus the old ghostly favorite trick – lights turning on and off.
