Taking photos to immortalise a moment in time is a great way to keep a physical representation of an event. However, what’s not so great is seeing someone appear in the photo who wasn’t actually there when you took it! With that in mind, here are 10 Baffling Photos That Can’t Be Explained.
#1 The Babushka Lady
During president John F. Kennedy’s last car journey, a woman was filmed taking photos of her own among the chaos while the others run for cover. The FBI have since searched for the woman but her identity and photos were never recovered.
#2 Strange Hessdalen Lights
These strange vibrant lights seem to show up in photos taken in Norway’s Hessdalen Valley.
Despite the many studies conducted to define this phenomenon, scientists have yet to explain what it is about this valley that causes these lights.
#3 The Hook Island Tadpole
A couple spotted what appeared to be an 80 feet long gigantic tadpole like creature in the lagoon of hook island, way back in 1964 . The couple claim that the strange creature opened its mouth before swimming away.
#4 The Phantom Spaceman
A man photographing his daughter, back in 1964, captured what appears to be an astronaut standing behind her. He claims that no one else was present in the shot, other than the girl. The Kodak company even inspected the photo to confirm that it genuine.
#5 The S.S.Waterton Faces
In 1924 two sailors in a bizarre accident were buried at sea. In the days following, the crew claimed to see the faces of these two men following the ship and the captain even snapped this photo that allegedly shows their faces in the waves.
#6 The Dark Satellite
In 1960 a dark tumbling object was reported in earth’s orbit. But at this time, no satellite had been launched. The object wasn’t recognised to be a man-made design and since then many other finds have been recorded of similar objects appearing in orbit before vanishing.
#7 Copper Falling Body
There’s not much information available about this photograph other than that the copper family moved into their new home and took a family photo. After the photo was developed, a person falling from the ceiling appeared.
#8 Space Triangle
Taken by Apollo 17 during the last flight to the moon this photo was thought to be a dud, due to extreme light exposure. But when the contrast was adjusted later, the photo revealed a pyramid like structure. What could it be?
#9 The Goddard’s Squadron Photograph
At the top of the photo, behind one of the officers, you can see a face. The face is recognised by members of the squadron to be the face of Freddy Jackson.
#10 Elisa Lam
Hotel surveillance footage shows Elisa behaving strangely in an elevator, stepping to the side, as if avoiding someone and moving around in a very unnatural way before ultimately wandering off to her demise.
