2. The Hobbit House
Do you have an inner Frodo? Photographer Simon Dale decided that he wanted create his own hobbit home in the hill, and he accomplished it with just $5,000 and four months. It not only blends into the natural environment but it is made to be eco friendly as well. Instead of cement it’s made with lime plaster and scrap wood. The dry stone walls are filled with hay for insulation. The sustainable home has a compost toilet, heats its water with solar panels, and gets its water from a natural spring.
