Perhaps the most famous of the CIA’s experiments with LSD and mind control, MK Ultra was an ill-fated decade long attempt to “develop a capability in the covert use of biological and chemical materials.” In order to achieve these dubious goals, the CIA made use of everything from alcohol to LSD to hypnosis. There were attempts to induce amnesia. There was torture. In essence, it sucked.
