5. Dressed them like adults

Back in the olden days, as soon as kids were toilet trained they were dressed exactly the same as adults. Same clothing styles, colors and fabrics. It wasn’t until the beginning of the 20th century that people started creating different age-appropriate styles for the younger folks to wear and differentiate themselves from the adults.
