2. Took photos of them when they died
Also in the Victorian era, it was fashionable to stage photo shoots with dead family members, where they were dressed and often propped up to look alive. Why? That’s really a good question. But take a look at the photo below and consider the fact that the youngster on the left is totally a corpse. To add insult to injury, the live people had to stand still for a while to get the final image. Say cheese!
