This picture of an interesting looking insect is the only photo that exists of the Skull Caterpillar. It is said to have been taken in 2011 in Australia’s rainforest. The Austrailian government has begun a breeding program to help increase its numbers, but if they’re unable to succeed, this insect will likely be extinct before we know it.
