5. Sir Isaac Newton
Sir Isaac Newton was brilliant beyond belief, and it’s usually the most intelligent people that have trouble connecting with others. But Newton’s lack of close confidants and his tendency to forgo conversations completely was more than just him being shy. Some suggest he had many of the classic symptoms of Asperger syndrome. From strained relationships with his few friends, he also would sometimes be so engrossed in his work, he would forget to eat. It was also reported that he would lecture to empty rooms if no one showed up to hear him speak, and suffered from depression – a well-documented symptom of autism.
