6. Lulu Loves Her Person

In 1998, Jo Ann Altsman suffered a heart attack in her Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania home. Luckily for Altsman, she and her husband were roommates with a pot belly pig named Lulu. On seeing her person crumple to the floor, Lulu pushed her way through the doggy door — quite a feat for a 150 pound porker — and then managed to get through the gate, at which point she lay in the road until a passerby noticed her urgent pleas for help. Thankfully, Jo Ann’s life was saved, though doctors claim without Lulu’s intervention she may not have made it.
