One of the most prominent Republicans in the Senate (and a former ophthalmologist) said that anyone who supported universal healthcare also supported slavery. See, Mr. Paul lives in a world where universal healthcare means that anyone can barge into his home and demand his keen ophthalmological eye on their specific eyeball problem at any hour of the day or night. If that wasn’t crazy enough, after falling out with the American Board of Ophthalmology, Rand Paul created his own board and certified himself. Because, why not?
