This is a 1920’s surrealist film written and directed by Luis Buñel. Salvador Dalí was involved. It got weird, even for him. It’s actually a very good representation of a dream, and was in fact based on dreams that Buñel and Dalí had themselves. So if the disquieting feeling silent films already have wasn’t enough, there’s plenty of disturbing, confusing and bizarre images.
