Everyone gets bored at work. Even if you’re doing your dream job, there are days when you just have to do something a little risqué to make it to the five o’clock bell. Apparently, when you’re working in animation, keeping yourself occupied means planting dirty subliminal messages in kid’s films. We all have fond memories of the films we loved growing up, scenes of cartoon friends innocently frolicking happily through golden fields. 1. ‘Sex’ In the Stars
Easily the most popular example of no-no animation is The Lion King’s infamous “sex” in the stars scene. As poor young Simba is contemplating his fate and agonizing over a return to his kingdom, he flops down, dejected, on a flower bed. That’s when a tuft of flowers ascends into the star-filled sky and for the briefest of seconds audiences can just make out … well, you see.
