There are a few truly scary moments towards the end of Toy Story 3 when the entire cast of characters ends up in a trash compactor that seems straight out of a Fritz Lang fever dream. For almost too long it seems like the beloved series is doomed to end with the characters’ death. Then, of course, they’re plucked to safety and all ends well, but criminy it’s close there for a second.
