11. Largest Serving of Mashed Potatoes
Love spuds? The largest serving of mashed potatoes was made by Michelin-starred chef Joël Robuchon at Futuroscope in Poitiers France. He had the help of 200 student apprentices – quite a potato posse. The finished product weighed 2297 pounds! The potatoes were all ground in a mill and then mashed by hand, with small batches being made on hot plates before being combined together. Hope they had lots of butter on hand to top it off.
